a MAN was murdered due to a HATE CRIME and Trump just held a rally there on the very street where it happened to let the people who live there know that he was on their side to discriminate, hate and commit violence against Mexicans

and for those who think Cruz is whatever, better, puke

Gay Republican confronts Ted Cruz on live TV: ‘What would you do to protect me and my husband?

Blogger Andy Towle pointed out that “Cruz dodged the question” from the gay restaurant owner.

“So pizza show owner Calogne was left hanging – his question wasn’t answered, because there is NOTHING Cruz will do to protect him and his husband. Nothing,” Towle wrote. “And that, of course, leaves everyone with another question: Todd, why the hell are you voting Republican?”

If straight said men could be trusted not to do bad things to women, we wouldn’t be having any of these conversations. As a Christian I’m disappointed that we aren’t talking about that in our churches and on campaign trails, or making bold public statements about that. I’m profoundly sad that high-profile evangelists and pastors aren’t facing this real monster with the same sustained ferocity they attack an imagined one with.
Women are in exponentially higher danger of being sexually assaulted by a boyfriend or a classmate than a stranger in a bathroom and it isn’t even close.

7) I don’t want bad guys in the bathroom with my daughter either.

I’ve just researched enough to know that nothing about this legislation has any bearing on that desire. I’ve realized that the greatest danger to her isn’t the LGBTQ community or public restroom use, it’s straight guys who can’t control themselves wherever they are.
I know I can’t legislate the world so that she has no contact with these men at school, out shopping, at fraternities, at church, on band trips, at work, in relationships—those places where she is most in danger of being assaulted. All I can do is teach her, guide her, and try to create a less horrible world for her to walk into.

and women, how about that Kasich

John Kasich Confused About Why Women Objected To His Sexual Assault Victim-Blaming Comments

“I don’t care if there’s a party with alcohol. I’m just saying be careful! That’s what I would tell my daughters,” he added, continuing to embrace the disproved myththat that there is a direct link between rape and alcohol consumption.

Women get sexually assaulted NOT because of how they dress, what they drink, if they go to parties or get their education on college campuses like Harvard, where they are not allowed to join elite just for men club because they “would not be safe,” or anything that women do or do not do like say NO REPEATEDLY… it is because boys and men in this country are taught that it is just fine and dandy and they will MOST LIKELY NOT GET INCARCERATED if and when THEY do not keep their hands to themselves, do not keep THEIR pants zipped, and rape and assault women sexually, just go right ahead. All of the blaming the victim does is discriminate and abuse and hate women and does NOTHING BUT ENCOURAGE RAPISTS who have MORE RIGHTS THAN WOMEN IN THIS COUNTRY.

31 states allow rapists custody, visitation and other ‘rights’

“Sexual harassment is a subtle rape, and rape is more about fear than sex,” said Dr. John Gottman, a psychologist at the University of Washington. “Harassment is a way for a man to make a woman vulnerable.”

“Women don’t cause rape by what they wear. Asking about correlation between clothing and rape is tricky, though.

“To make clear, sexual assault is never the victim’s fault. Someone has to act to commit rape. No one forces that choice. If seeing an enticing woman led men to conclude, “I’ve got to rape her,” all men would be rapists. Yet few are.

“And plenty of assaulted women are not dressed sexily, including women draped in head-to-toe burqas. Interestingly, veiled women are blamed, too: “He must have seen a bit of her ankle, wrist, hair, neck… Who could resist!?”

“Why any ostensibly rational person living in Kentucky, Tennessee, the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, or Louisiana who saw this map, and still would think their states’ Republican leaders’ policies were delivering the economic growth their region so sorely needs is beyond comprehension.”

Where Are the Hardest Places to Live in the U.S.?

Clearly they think Americans are ignorant.  And some are and some are lazy and reacting with knees jerking, and some despite all reason and logic and education to the contrary stubbornly hold onto old beliefs, so for those, I’VE GOT A BRIDGE TO SELL YOU.
